Clinical focus

Urologist specialising in urothelial oncology, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. His expertise includes managing non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, BCG-unresponsive cases, and applying evidence-based surgical approaches for optimal functional and oncological outcomes.

About me

I am an Associate Professor of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna, where I lead a translational research program focused on urothelial cancer, particularly non-muscle-invasive and BCG-unresponsive cases. At the Medical University of Vienna (Dept. of Urology) I have held sustained managerial roles in academic healthcare. Over the years, I’ve been involved in a wide range of clinical trials and have contributed extensively to the development of prognostic models and surgical strategies that bridge research with real-world clinical application.

Since 2016, I have held continuous teaching and examining roles in urology and medical education. I am passionate about integrating scientific insight into daily urologic care to improve patient outcomes and support informed decision-making.
