I am board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and pain therapy. My medical education includes the University of Dusseldorf, St. Moritz, Switzerland, the Spine Center at the Orthopädische Klinik München-Harlaching, and the University Hospital in Quebec City, Canada.
I have experience in performing a variety of injection procedures in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. For more than 15 years, my main interest has been in endoscopic procedures, where I have broad experience in several techniques and approaches. I have been a lecturer for more than 200 scientific presentations and have performed surgeries worldwide as a guest surgeon.
From 2003 to 2021, I served as a master instructor for the Spine Intervention Society (SIS, formerly ISIS) in the US and Europe and was co-organiser of the European SIS workshops in Amsterdam, Netherlands. From 2006 to 2015, I served as President of the German Interventional Spine Society (GIW e.V.).
