About me

I am a breast imaging specialist with extensive expertise in all breast imaging modalities (mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, sonography, MRI, PET/CT, PET/MRI and image-guided interventions). Additionally, I have extensive experience in oncologic whole-body imaging with a special focus on gender imaging.
I serve as an executive board member of the European Society of Breast Imaging and as an editorial board member of “Insights into Imaging”, “European Radiology: Breast Section”, “Breast Care”, and “British Journal of Radiology/ Case Reports“. I am a reviewer for multiple top journals in the field of breast and molecular imaging. I have published over 70 peer-reviewed papers in my field of expertise.
I am an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy and a staff member of the Division of Molecular and Gender Imaging at the Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. I am affiliated faculty at the Dept. of Scientific Computing of Florida State University. I was an ESOR scholar at the Breast Unit of the Barts and The London Cancer Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, United Kingdom and from 2009-2013 and a research fellow at the London Breast Institute, Princess Grace Hospital, London, United Kingdom. Since 2013, I have been a researcher at the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Medical Radiation Research for Radiation Oncology of the Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. Since 09/2014, I have been a senior research associate at the Department of Radiology, Division of Molecular Imaging and Therapy at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA.
